The company was founded in 2004 with the acquisition of a family business that produced traditional Cretan pastries. In April 2005 KRITON ARTος relocated to privately-owned facilities covering 3000 m². That same year it came up with the innovative idea of private label products. It was the first company to produce Cretan baked snacks under the label of a well known supermarket chain. In November 2005 it was certified with HACCP ELOT 1416 and IFS Higher level.
